A Legacy of Innovation in Kids’ Clothing

Over the span of 14 years, PRODOH has consistently pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in children’s outdoor apparel. PRODOH was created to help families and kids who play outside, with each piece designed to help children and families spend time together without any worry or fuss. Our clothes are made to be versatile, durable and reliable for outdoor activities, as well as polished enough to be worn out to dinner or to school. 

We have prioritized incorporating important features into our clothing line—each season meticulously crafting pieces with UPF 50+ sun protection, stain-resistant materials and quick-dry fabrics that are as breathable as they are durable. 

This focus on innovative fabric technology ensures that young explorers can immerse themselves in the joy of outdoor play, while staying safe.

Celebrating 14 Years of Style and Functionality

With an eye for detail, Evan Proffitt and DJ Doherty enlisted their wives, Mell and Stacey, to develop the vision for a children’s apparel and lifestyle brand and bring it to fruition. 

One of the first (and still a favorite) item launched was the boys swim trunk with the polyblend liner. PRODOH was one of the first companies to do this when Stacey realized her son Dutch was uncomfortable and chafed in a traditional mesh liner. PRODOH quickly launched the UPF 50+ tees as well which are still a popular item each season.

Just seven years ago, a small PRODOH line was being carried in stores across the south and has gradually expanded to include shorts, skorts, pants, performance tees, swimwear and hats/accessories for both boys and girls. As we’ve grown our collections and internal team, we’ve also set up a distribution center in Charlotte, NC, upgraded to a new warehouse and set up e-commerce at www.prodoh.com. 

Most importantly, we’ve worked to create a brand dedicated to blending aesthetic appeal with practical elements, providing our kids and youth with clothing that mirrors their vivacity and zest for exploration.
